Distractions.

After being kindly reminded by my wonderful mother-in-law, I thought I would let you know what we have been up to and why this post is such a long time coming!
I will be leading the worship at Hear Our Cry, Hannah will be joining me for the second half of the service. So we've been scrambling to try to get things together, The first half of the night my friends from To The Forgotten will be aiding me as a backing band, (funny because usually I am backing for them!) It's going to be an amazing night to feel God's presence and to cry out for our city, our nation, and our generation!

The Big Philly CheesePost.

While we are waiting for the pictures of HCC, Hannah and I thought we could go ahead and share some things that went down on our mission trip to Philadelphia. We were gone from June 26th, to July 3rd. It was an amazing adventure with our church family at The Wellhouse, and an awesome opportunity for us to serve! Unfortunately most of the places we were at advised us not to take pictures, But we can at least show you some of the highlights!

The Psychic ATM. A strange and misleading way to promote your business.
Jim's Steaks. Fantastic cheese steak, and there were tons of autographed photos of famous people who had visited.
Including Bruce Williams, Bob Saget, and Mr. T!
Can't go to Philly without stopping by the Liberty Bell!

Everyone thought that this would make an awesome picture.
(The water is knee deep)
Then Hannah tripped, or as she would like to say "Was Pushed"
and got soaked!
Hannah's battle wound.
After all that excitement, Marcos decided that he was ready to get baptized!
This is the mission house we stayed at in West Philly

Hannah and her new friend Ruth (who was also our spectacular city host!) Cleaning up the streets.
Volunteering at MANA, who provides free meals to people who have various types of medical conditions such as HIV. They work on 97% volunteers and they have nutritionists that decide exactly what each person needs in their meals to stay healthy.
One of the best parts of the week was hanging out with all the neighbor kids!

Back in the kitchen, this time at a Men's Shelter. I made meatloaf.
We got to go help out with seeing kids off to church camp.
Another fun part of the trip.

Harvest Christian Camp!

This week we have been volunteering with Harvest Christian Camp at House Of Prayer in Lewisville, IN. Hannah had gone to this camp when she was younger and continues to try to help out every year. This year she is not only a Bunk Leader, but she is also teaching a Contemporary Dance Workshop. While I have been down there each night helping out by playing guitar with the worship team. It's been an awesome few days and we are both so blessed to be apart of what the Lord is doing in these kids. Hopefully we will have some pictures and/or video of some of the great things that we've experienced!
